Is Reality TV Really “Reality”?

One ongoing topic that has had millions of discussions about are around reality TV shows and how real they are. Are they actually reality? Are they truly showing who they are and how they really act and behave on what they call their “reality show”? No one knows for sure, but what we do know is that there are some fakeness in reality TV shows, though some will be real.

Of course, we cannot expect everything to be true. Most reality TV shows air once a week for around two hours. That is only two hours out of the one hundred sixty eight hours of the week. Therefore, they will obviously pick out things and edit out things that they may not like the public to know. They try to make it as interesting as possible so that view ratings can rise and this results in more income. This is not for everyone, but most entertainers’ goal is that. However, should they really call it a reality TV show if they show only two hours of their lives out of the week? Many people are claiming that those people are using them to get attention and publicity. They just show the most interesting and extravagant things that happen yet still maintaining their image.
